Bugatti EB 110

Bugatti EB110 was introduced in 1990 to commemorate Ettore Bugatti`s 110 birthday. This was model was than the aspirant to be considered the fastest serial car in the world.

The model`s design is an absolute opposite to the company`s classical models. The saloon is trimmed with posh grey leather and walnut. There is a clock, a conditioner, and a premium sound system placed on the massive instrumentation panel. The model`s steering wheel reminds more of an airliner`s steering wheel.

No doubt these characteristics don`t assure Bugatti EB110 model`s brutal character. It is a 12-cylinder 60-valve 3.5-liter center-mounted engine with its turbo-chargers of a four-barrel carburetor that does it.

The engine puts out 560 hp at 8000 rpm. It takes 3.4s to accelerate from 0-100 km/h.

The unit is made of aluminium. Bugatti EB110 constructors achieved low compression ratio, which is 7.5/1 while the brake system was designed by Bosch Company.

There is also a sport modification named Bugatti EB 110SS along with an "ordinary" one. These are 4 turbo-chargers, all-wheel drive, more capacious power plant, and different saloon layout that make this model different.

The model (the fastest in its class as it developed 352 km/h speed) was predicted to win very important for the brand "24h Le Mans" race in 1994 however it didn`t make till the finish line because of some turbo-charger failure. VW
