Bugatti Chiron

Bugatti 18/3 Chiron is the full name of the model. Chiron means that the automobile was named to commemorate Luis Alexander Chiron who was a successful racer from Bugatti team in the nineteen 20ies - nineteen 30ies.

"18" indicates the engine the model is provided with. It is a 17-cylinder center-mounted power plant boasting of 3 cylinder rows. That was a modernized Bugatti EB 218 model`s engine.

The engine`s displacement is 6255 cubic centimeters while its turbocharging pressure makes up 11.4 - 13.06 bar. The top torque equals to 650 Nm, the top horsepower makes up 555hp, and the top speed is over 300 km/h.

The body designed in cooperation with ItalDesign is made of composite material based on carbon fiber. The design was developed by "younger generation" of the studio and that was for the first time ever that retro motifs were so visible and so evident: the style of a legendary Bugatti Tank was perfectly embodied in the 118 and 218 concepts.
